If you're looking for something to do this weekend, then look no further because Delungra Pub is set to be a hive of activity from Friday until Sunday.
The best part is, not only will there be something for the whole family to enjoy, but all money raised will be donated to the Kids with Cancer Foundation.
That's right, the annual Weeds and Waterholes Bash will start on Friday with a DJ and raffles as people from all across the state roll into town for the event.
Running for seven years, the bash has raised $40,000 for Kids with Cancer and every single dollar has been donated to the charity.
Organiser Reg Dennis hopes for another successful year with a big crowd.
"There will be plenty of highlights over the weekend. We've got a chain chuck and piston toss, there will be a show and shine for motorcycles. As for entertainment there will be a DJ on Friday night and a live band on Saturday."
Raffles will run on Friday evening and all day Saturday to help boost fundraising efforts. An auction will be held on Saturday night after 6pm.
Reg encouraged vendors to come out for the weekend and set up, but asked for people to call in advance to organise a spot.
"The Delungra Fishing Club will be doing a barbecue with steak sandwiches all day Saturday and the pub will have meals available all weekend," he said.
With free camping and all bikes, cars and campers welcome there will be a free breakfast on Sunday for those campers heading home, starting from 6am.
Reg was happy to inform there would also be fresh coffee also on hand.
"We've got people from all over who come each year for the bash. We give a prize for the longest distance travelled. Last year the winner clocked up 1100 kilometres.
"We have a bloke from the other side of Cairns who comes every year but we don't count him 'cause he can't win it every year," Reg laughed.
Open to the whole family, people from near and far are encouraged to head to Delungra Pub over the weekend to support the event.
Last year, more than $6000 was raised for Kids for Cancer and the year before was $12,000.
"Originally three of us sat down and chose a kids charity because we thought it was something everyone could relate to and we knew kids who had cancer."
