For the first time in approximately 20 years, the Delungra Women’s Bowling Team were the winners of the East Gwydir Area No 4 Pennant Competition.

On Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 of May the team travelled to Moree to compete in the regional play-offs.

Playing teams from Armidale, Gunnedah and Narrabri, the local ladies had some very successful games.

At the end of the two days of play Delungra’s team was runner up, just one point behind the eventual winners Narrabri.

This was a great result for the team as most of them had not played in the regional pennants before. Congratulations to the Delungra team.
