18th of Sep, 2017 12:50 pm

It was a big three days in the small community of Delungra as horse lovers came from far and wide to enjoy the long running campdraft.

“It was a great atmosphere with lots of good drafting to watch,” photographer Jodie Adams said.

It was a full calendar of events, with several prizes up for grabs. Over 1145 runs were made across eight categories of events.

A stallion auction raised $13,100 in funds for the Westpac Helicopter Service, with help from tireless auctioneer Adam Pollock.

A big screen at the bar on Friday and Saturday ensured football fanatics wouldn’t miss the game. The farmer’s challenge on Friday night was a popular spectator sport, and kids took on their own challenge in the chook run.

Karen White kept the event running smoothly, announcing and time keeping throughout, while Sarah Wells stepped in during her breaks.

Sam Knight was the lucky winner of the maiden draft and took home a new saddle pad for her troubles. Gloria McCormack topped the ladies draft while Gav White took the top prize in the open section.

The Hot As Hell Cut Out Shoot Out winner was Brett Schiffmann. Tim McCarthy from Kempsey took home a trophy and a saddle after winning the novice draft.
