EMERGENCY services workers were on full alert last night for a major flood through Inverell’s CBD.

An estimated 800 people filled Delungra at the weekend to witness what may be a one-off event for the town.

Inverell police are down 13 out of a possible 45 operational police, working at around 28 per cent below their capacity.
