Farmers lobby for drought aid
18th of May, 2010 10:26 am

Drought-affected farmers from Delungra are meeting tonight to push their case for Exceptional Circumstances (EC) drought funding.

The group is arguing it is in a similar situation to farmers in Bundarra, who are still waiting on their EC determination from the National Rural Advisory Council.

Inverell-based Nationals' Senator John Williams says the Delungra landowners are also in a desperate situation and intend to make their case for financial assistance.

Tonight's meeting will be held at 6:30pm (AEST) at the Delungra Bowling Club.
