DELUNGRA cricket captain Scott Cole says Kieran Hasselman's 175 against Oxfords on Saturday was one of the finest innings he has witnessed. "The only chance he gave away was the one he got out on,'' Cole said. "It was a very good performance from him – he came to the crease in the second over and batted to the 36th.'' Delungra scored 347 and Oxfords 171 in the match played at Gilgai. Hasselman formed two solid partnerships along the way. He scored 190 with Geoff Uebergang (54) and 113 with Scott Cole (39). "Kieran plays his cricket in good spirit and really enjoys it,'' Cole said. His innings comprised of 24 fours and three sixes. In one over he hit 25 runs off Darrin Charter. His schoolmate Scott Worgan also played a leading hand on Saturday for Staggy Creek 2 in the win over Nullamanna. Worgan scored 137 not out in his side's total of 301. In reply Nullamanna managed just 81. In the same match veteran all-rounder Chris Bell took 7-25 from three overs.
