16th of Mar, 2007 10:24 am

Film students from the New England College of TAFE will film tomorrow's Opera in the Paddock at Bill and Peta Blyth's property Mimosa at Delungra.

"Opera in the Paddock represents a rare and significant opportunity for students to be involved in a multi camera shoot of a professional opera performance," Inverell TAFE's Jamie Marshall said.

"The six Certificate IV students in screen (film) from Inverell will advance their knowledge and experience in many ways".

The producer Mo Lark, director Marcus Coblyn, production manager Blake O'Malley-Powter and fellow students from the Armidale Film and Television School are co-ordinating an eight-camera shoot involving a crew of 28 to produce a high-quality DVD of the evening's entertainment.

"Opportunities such as this are invaluable for the students and we are delighted to be involved", a spokesman from the Armidale Film and Television School said.
