Inverell Lions have come aboard with the Delungra community for the town’s 32nd annual Collectibles Show over August 22 and 28.

Delungra resident Harry McNaughton has been involved with the show for several years, and said it was Lion president and Collectors Club member Peter Kearsey who organised the help. “He knows how big a struggle it is to get labour to set up and those sort of jobs,” Harry said.

The weekend event at the Delungra Multi-purpose Hall will feature displays of antique, curiosities and bottle collections, tables of swap and sell, and a car boot sale on the Saturday.

Show entry is $5 with kids under 12 free. The Delungra Girl Guides are in the canteen with a good spread of refreshments. Antiques valuer Jeff Philp will be on hand to scrutinise items for $5 each, or three for $10.

All valuer funds collected will be donated to the Inverell Breast Cancer Support Group.

The fee for collectors is $5, swap and sell tables are $15 and car boot bookings are $10 per car. The deadline to book is August 24, and people can phone Angie on 0427 059 325.
