Fifteen North West and New England schools are part of a feature about the Sydney Royal Easter Show launched on the internet.
Armidale, Duval, Farrer Agricultural, Coonabarabran, Scone, Warialda, Peel and Tenterfield high schools, Bingara, Bundarra and Lightning Ridge central schools, Delungra, Westdale and Willow Tree public schools and Walgett Community College are included in 120 photographs illustrating the breadth of involvement of public school and TAFE students, teachers, staff and graduates from all over the state.
Also featured are boarders from Mullaley and Gunnedah, a University of New England student, and livestock from the Ivybank Stud at Walcha.
Deputy director-general Alan Laughlin said the feature, in the form of a photo gallery, was available through the on-line events section of the Education Department's website on http://www.schools.nsw.edu.au/eve nts/onlineevents/eastershow/galle ry/index1.php
He praised the all-round excellence of public education students, teachers and staff at the Sydney Show.
Public schools and TAFE colleges from across the state were represented at the show in everything from entertainment and events management to exhibiting and judging livestock and sports activities.
Other students used the show to access information about teaching as a profession at the TeachNSW promotion on the public education stand.
"The Sydney Easter Show is acknowledged as the pinnacle, and public education students, teachers and staff have demonstrated that they can perform with the best of the best,” Dr Laughlin said.
