DELUNGRA husband and wife duo Country Comfort have given their favourite music their own spin with their recently released album 'Forever and Ever'.

Semi retired farmers Gail and Con Mureau (pictured above) have been performing together for more than 40 years, and only after countless requests for recordings did they decide to record their first album.

The album takes tracks from some of the world's best known country singers, such as George Strait, Gina Jeffreys, Slim Dusty and Tammy Wynette, with a mix of 'old time' dance music style and what Gail described as a hint of '60s flavour'.

The duo started out performing together early in their marriage and allowed music to become their second priority while raising their family of five children.

Since their nest emptied Gail and Con have toured extensively playing at 'old time' dances all over northern NSW, where many fans have requested recordings.

Gail said another idea behind the CD was to leave something behind for their family to hold on to.

"It's a real keep sake for our family more than anything,” Gail said.

"Just something nice to have so when we get older we and our children can look back.”

'Forever and Ever' can be bought at Inverell Music Ranch.

Gail and Con can be seen at live shows at the Inverell East Bowling Club, where the CDs will also be made available.
