Delungra collectables show
29th of Aug, 2014 12:00 am

DELUNGRA has a permanent sign up on the outskirts of town that advertises their annual Antiques and Collectables Show, and it is doors open at the Delungra Hall this weekend for all things precious.

The show is a charity event to raise money for Ronald McDonald House, and vendors with collectables, antiques and special items come from the district and far beyond to sell or show their items.

The knitters at Cooinda in Inverell will also be visiting with their colourful and soft collection of hand-made cuddly toys. All proceeds go to Ronald McDonald House.

Organiser Harry McNaugh-ton said they are waiting on the numbers, but people can expect a good show, and a quality morning tea and lunch will be catered by the Delungra Girl Guides over the two days.

Displays will be judged on Saturday morning.

For those exhibiting as well as the public, a valuer will be on site to provide an Antiques Roadshow moment during the show.

Valuation if $5 an item or three items for $10.

The show is open from 9am to 5pm on Saturday and 9am to 3pm on Sunday, with a $5 entry. Judging of exhibits is from 9-10am on Saturday.

For more information about booking a space or any enquiry, please phone the Inverell District Collectors’ Club secretary Leah Humphries on 6724 8292.
