A Grade: Campbell and Freebairn v Royal Rats

In the day/night game at Varley Oval royal batted first and were dismissed for 193. Top run scorers for Royals were Brock Hobday 52, Lachlan Binnie 50 and Matt Cutmore with 41.

Richard Wilson was the best of the C&F bowlers taking 4 for 51 while Kyle Chilcott with 3 for 11 and Col Bruckard with 1 for 19 also bowled well. In reply C&F were 9 for 98 at the close of play with Paul Staader 34 and Col Bruckard 20 the only batsmen to get going. The best with the ball for Royals were Bronson McLay taking 3 for 39, Lachlan Binnie 2 for 2 and Rowan Burt 2 for 10.

Staggy Creek v Aussies

Staggy Creek took to the crease first and finished their innings at 8 for 187. Best batsmen for Staggy were Ross Chilcott with 67, Jeremy Baxter 29 and J Cook 23.

Bowling for Aussies M Roan 2 for 19, Damian Smith 2 for 23 and Kyle Tonkin 2 for 26. Aussies in reply managed 5 for 164. Damian Smith showed his class with an unbeaten 83 while Nick Cumming with 33 and Brendan Tonkin 24 also batted well. Garry Hadland was the best of the Staggy bowlers taking 2 for 15.

B Grade: RSM v Tavern

At Brooks Oval RSM defeated the competition leaders in a low scoring match that featured some great bowling by both sides.

RSM batted first and scored a modest 106. Greg Brabant 32, Declan Davidson 29 and Luke Mundy with 19 were the best for RSM.

Bowling for Tavern, Steve Duncan took 4 for 23 in a great spell while Marshall Blair cleaned up the tail taking 3 for 3.

In reply Tavern were bundled out for 73 with R Connors 17 and L Robinson 11 the only batsmen to make double figures. Bowling for RSM Luke Mundy took 4 for 23, Jason Sharpley 2 for 23 and Greg Brabant with 3 for 3 were the best with the ball for RSM.

Square and Compass v Tingha

S&C batted first and scored 145 with Eric Higgins top scoring with 61.

Bowling for Tingha Warren Williams 2 for 27, Chris Naylor 2 for 25 and Josh Short 2 for 22 shared the wickets.

Tingha in reply finished the match at 8 for 146 with Chris Naylor the pick of the batsmen scoring 50. Bowling for S&C Nathan Marsh 2 for 16, Josh Porter 2 for 25 and Charles Gardiner 2 for 27.

Delungra v Invincibles

In a close game at Delungra the Invincibles managed to scrape home with just 5 runs to spare. Battling first Invincibles scored 162 with skipper Tim Torgau leading from the front scoring 35 and Jake Buckingham adding 23.

Bowling for Delungra L Kenefake 3 for 12, M Kenefake 2 for 31 and Tyson Will 2 for 19. in reply Delungra managed 157. Tyson Will capped off a good game top scoring with 60.

Bowling for Invincibles J McPhee 3 for 47 and D McLachlan 2 for 29 were the best.
