FIRST played third in second grade at Delungra on the weekend when Tingha played Delungra. Batting first, Delungra made 105 with Matt Kennedy scoring 23, Tyson Will 20 and Luke Robinson 15. John Patterson and Kyle Krauss took three wickets each for Tingha.
A mere 105 was never going to be enough against the front-runners and Tingha passed the total for the loss of six wickets. Kyle Krauss proving that he could bat as well in scoring 24 runs while Greg Livermore top scored with 32.
Tyson Will took four wickets for 45 off six overs for the Delungra side.
In the other B Grade match at Brooks Oval, Square and Compass faced off against Ashford and Ashford had it all to play for to keep in touch with Tingha in the race to the minor premiership.
Square and Compass batted first and were all out for 158. Craig Curtin made 78 while messrs Schumack and Hartley grabbed seven wickets between them.
In reply Ashford were dismissed for 130 with Schumack again showing his wares with a solid 40 for the equal ladder leaders.
Paul Lettinger took two wickets for Square and Compass.
The B Grade points table looks to be a dog fight for finals positions with Tingha and Ashford both on 65, Delungra on 57, while Invincibles (31) and Square and Compass (29) can start planning for next season. The draw for this Saturday January 16 will see Ashford and Tingha at Ashford in a top of the table clash while Invincibles will play Delungra at Brooks Oval.
