DELUNGRA are all but out of the race for the 2009-2010 Inverell A Grade Cricket title after Campbell and Freebairn reaffirmed their standing in the top two with a resounding win on Saturday at McCosker 1.
Batting first, the Rebels made nine for 207 off their 40 overs with Matt Fox (47), David Mudaliar (42) and Brendon Campbell (27) the main contributors for Campbell and Freebairn.
Jack Cole took three for 40 off nine while Nick Cummings snared two for 23 off six.
In reply Delungra were all out for 154 with Matt Kent (37), Kyle Tonkin (33) and Eric Higgins (27) the only batsmen that showed any resistance. John Orchard took three for 20 off nine and Dave Gleeson grabbed two for 22 off nine.
The points table for A grade reads as follows – Staggy Creek 68, Campbell and Freebairn Rebels 53, Bundarra 39, Royal Rats 29 and Delungra 29.
The draw for this Saturday January 16 is – Royal Rats v Delungra at Varley Oval while Bundarra will play Campbell and Freebairn at Bundarra. Staggy Creek have the bye.
