The Exceptional Circumstances (EC) status of two of the north-west New South Wales region's farming belts is to be removed.

The Federal Government says EC declarations for the central north and north-west Northern Slopes will lapse at the end of April.

It includes the Yetman, Coolatai, Warialda, Delungra, Bingara and Barraba districts.

Agriculture Minister Tony Burke says the EC declaration for the central north, north-west Coonabarabran area will also be removed at the end of April, covering Coonabarabran and Binnaway.
