Princesses support Angel Flight

Both had entered this year’s Delungra Miss Australia Day Princess competition and worked hard to collect the money for Angel Flight.

Angel Flight Australia is a charity that co-ordinates non-emergency flights for financially and medically needy people.

All flights are free and may involve passengers or compassionate carers travelling to or from medical facilities anywhere in Australia.

Amanda Dean said the two young girls were happy to take on the challenge of raising money and awareness for this very important rural service.

“Some of the fundraising included selling delicious sponge cakes and gourmet Christmas puddings, the girl’s families were very proud of their efforts, and were thrilled to be apart of this special event on Australia Day,” Amanda said.

Hannah was eventually recog-nised as Delungra’s Miss Charity Princess 2013, however together the two girls collected over $1,800 for Angel Flight.

Delungra’s special guest, Tyla Mair, was invited to accept the money on behalf of the service, as Tyla and her family have used it and were more than happy to be a part of the day.
